A SCOTLAND and British Lions Rugby great is urging golfers to sign up for a unique opportunity to play the Old Course at Royal Troon to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
Gavin Hastings is encouraging people to get involved in the event which will be held on Thursday October 10, starting at 9am.
The day includes breakfast followed by an 18-hole shotgun team competition on the Old Course before dinner in the Club House, a prize presentation, fundraising auction and entertainment.
Hastings said: “I enjoy my golf and what better way to raise money for a great cause than doing something you enjoy?
“This year Parkinson’s UK are offering the chance to play on Royal Troon’s Old Course.
“As the club’s first ever external charity day, it’s a fantastic opportunity to play on an Open Championship course.”
