A PRESTWICK store is celebrating its 20th birthday this week.
Jan De Vries has been on the Main Street for two decades. The shop opened in August 1999 bringing a host of herbal medicines and natural products.
Store boss Jeanette Smyth who has been part of the store since 2001, has told how she has enjoyed helping people improve their health, She said: “There is a lady Jean who was here on day one, she still comes in to buy vogel products and local honey.
“The best thing is when a customer returns to say what you gave me worked.
“Prestwick is a fantastic town. It’s great to be part of it and have such loyal customers. “Jan De Vries used to have a clinic here, he was a great character, we’re here to carry that name on.”
The store will hand out free samples this week.
