HEADS of Ayr farm park has been recognised as one of the best family attractions in Scotland after it was nominated for three awards.

The family-run attraction is up ‘The Days Out With the Kids Family Favourite Awards’ for ‘Best animal attraction, Best day out for young kids (under eight) and Best attraction event for their Santa’s Grotto.

The park, now in its 26th year, boasts a host of farm animals and exotic species such as monkeys, lemurs and wallabies as well as indoor and outdoor play areas for kids.

Hard working staff at the attraction have told how they will continue to try and provide an “exceptional day out” for visitors.

A spokesperson for Heads of Ayr farm park told the Advertiser: “

“We are particularly proud of these nominations as we are now in our 26th year of business as a family-run attraction and we strive to provide an exceptional day out for visitors of all ages throughout the year.

“We continually invest in new attractions and refurbishments for the park such as our massive new multi-storey pirate ship and we have over 80 different species of animals.

“Our Santa’s Grotto attractions around 7500 people each winter. At this ticketed event, families can meet Santa, hear Christmas stories from Mrs Claus, meet real reindeer, and play in our soft play. It’s a magical experience for the whole family.
