THERE was a buzz in the Ayr last week as local beekeepers came together for an annual honey show.
Visitors enjoyed two glorious days of sunshine on the grounds of Belleisle’s stunning conservatory where they took part in a host of activities.
Some lucky visitors also had the chance to get up close and personal to a live bee hive, as they were guided through by experienced bee keepers.
Julian Stanley, President of the Ayr and District Beekeepers, told the Advertiser: “It was a huge success over the two days. Kids loved dressing up in a bee suit and getting to see inside the hives.”
