RESIDENTS enjoyed a tea dance in Cumnock to tackle loneliness in the community.
Pensioners brought their dancing shoes to Dumfries House as they got to know each other.
They enjoyed sandwiches and cakes at the event which helps adults make new friends in the area.
Provost Jim Todd joined tenants from supported accommodation across East Ayrshire at a tea dance at The Royal Estate.
He was more than happy to get caught up in the fun of the celebrations and made some new pals himself.
Across the year there are 17 tea dances which are jointly run by Dumfries House and Vibrant Communities to bring people together, reduce isolation and loneliness and improve life opportunities for the people of East Ayrshire.
