A fundraiser in honour of much-missed Kilwinning bowler David Scaife raised more than £2,000 for a Diabetes charity.
Attendees enjoyed some of the entertainment the top bowler was also known for in his club on Sunday, raising the terrific sum for Diabetes (UK) Scotland.
Best known in the town and throughout North Ayrshire in both the bowling and cabaret scenes, David was an extremely loyal and hardworking man, and was always by the side of his beloved wife Janice.
A spokesperson for Kilwinning Bowling Club said: “A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. Special thanks have to go to the organisers - Kim and Nathan, John Dickie, Billy Kennedy, Davy Hart.
“Thank you to the pipers and to all of the Pop Idol contestants who entertained us. Wow, you were sensational.
"Well done everyone."
