A 20-year-old has been arrested for alleged dangerous driving after a police pursuit through Irvine.
The man was arrested near South Vennel and held for court for a number of alleged road traffic offences on Wednesday, including failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
Police added that another 20-year-old male was also arrested in connection with a further road traffic offence.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 2.30pm on Wednesday August 14 near South Vennel, Irvine a 20-year-old male was arrested for a number of road traffic offences including dangerous driving and failure to stop for police.
"He is currently held custody to appear before the Sheriff today."
"Another 20-year-old male was also arrested in connection with a further road traffic offence."
