THREE men have been arrested following a police chase in Maybole.
Cops were in pursuit of a vehicle before it crashed near the historic Crossraguel Abbey on Kirkoswald road.
South Ayrshire Police were assisted by a Police Scotland air unit, who helped trace the occupants of the car before the arrests were made.
It is believed the men then made off on foot but were later traced and arrested.
A spokesperon for Police Scotland told the Ayr Advertiser: "Three men have been arrested after a car crashed on Kirkoswald Road, Maybole around 3.25pm."
"Officers were assisted by the force helicopter which had been following the car prior to the crash.
"No one was injured and no other vehicles were involved."
