A DESPERATE appeal has been launched in the search for a missing boy who has links to Ayr. 

Kevin Paul, may possibly be in the Ayr area and Police are appealing for local residents to get in touch. 

The 14-year-old vanished from Lanarkshire where he is orignally from. 

He was last seen at the Time Capsule in Coatbridge on Friday July 19 around 8.20pm.

Kevin is described as around 5ft 3 of stock build with short brown hair and brown eyes.

When last seen he was wearing a blue and green The North Face hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and blue Nike trainers.

He has been reported missing in the past but has always came back. 

Kevin is said to have been in contact with friends and those he lives on the phone with since last week.

Constable Christopher Ross, Airdrie Police Office, said: “Kevin has went missing before and always comes back however due to his age we are growing increasingly concerned for him.

“He has been in touch with friends and those he lives with on the phone since he went missing however we need to see him in person and bring him home to make sure he is safe and well.

“He has links to Ayrshire and may possibly be in the Ayr and Craig Tara areas. We would appeal for anyone who may have seen him or knows of his whereabouts to get in touch with us.”
