THE Three Towns Growers are hosting their first ever Duck Race this weekend - in Ardrossan's Stanley Burn.

And to make sure the site was looking at its best, they joined forces with North Ayrshire Council's Streetscene to clear a huge amount of rubbish, including mattreesses and bikes, from the Elm Park water.

The Duck Race is being held to raise money for the Three Towns Growers charity to enable it to benefit residents of the Three Towns. Each plastic duck will cost £2 and there will be great pcash prizes for first, second and third, with many other special prizes on offer during the event.

Their aim is to “cultivate the community to grow stronger together."

The Duck Race will be held on Sunday, July 28 in Elm Park and will start at 1.30pm. It is a fun-packed, family-friendly, afternoon of activities including hoop throwing, throw a wet sponge, face painting, bottle stall etc.

The Duck Race is to raise money for their charity to enable it to benefit residents of the Three Toons – their aim is to “cultivate the community to grow stronger together”.
