Epilepsy Scotland are launching a weekly information service for anyone affected by epilepsy in Ayrshire from 17 July.
The new information service will provide one to one support and guidance with one of Epilepsy Scotland’s Helpline & Information Officers for those living with epilepsy in Ayrshire.
Epilepsy Scotland’s Ayrshire Information Service will be available every Wednesday at the Baird Centre, within Hansel Village.
Over 55,000 people in Scotland have epilepsy and there are almost 4000 people living with epilepsy in Ayrshire.
It will also provide the opportunity to receive a range of free information materials from epilepsy factsheets, seizure diaries, occupational health guides and children’s books to help children understand epilepsy and much more.
Epilepsy Scotland’s Chief Executive, Lesslie Young said: “We are committed to support the 55,000 people who are living with epilepsy. Our new information service in Ayrshire is just one of a number of exciting developments we will be making over the course of the next few months.
“Having a base will help us continue to be able to provide vital information, support and guidance across the country.”
