A GROUP looking to improve the town of Ardrossan have taken major steps forward this week – with their first incorporated meeting in their new offices.

Now based in the Frank Sweeney Centre for Enterprise, the Ardrossan Community Development Trust have big plans and want locals to get involved.

Plans are taking shape for an event in late Summer and they want community engagement to ensure that positive change is made in both the short term and the long term.

You can join in by checking out their Facebook page or filling out an application form based at their office.

You can give as much, as little or no time but you have a vote and can give a mandate for change.

Ardrossan Community Development Trust Director Scott Mould commented: “Ardrossan Community Development Trust (ACDT) are very thankful to Cunninghame Housing Association and its board of management for providing office and meeting space within the Frank Sweeney Centre for Enterprise in Glasgow Street, and in the assistance provided from their regeneration team in working with ACDT, Our Place and North Ayrshire Council, truly living up to their values of ‘Making Communities Better Places’.

“One of the main goals of ACDT is to lead on community led initiatives, working with local businesses, organisations and the local authority to ensure we achieve regeneration and a better town for the people of Ardrossan and its visitors.

“The assistance provided by Cunninghame Housing Association has been invaluable.”

“This is the potential that the Ardrossan Community Development Trust has to make a difference within the community.

“From Cunninghame Housing Association’s perspective the association’s board of management is committed to providing continued support to the trust.”
