PUPILS at Girvan Primary School took part in golf fun and coaching sessions at the iconic Trump Turnberry Resort.

A total of 350 children ranging from P1 to P7 had a fantastic two days learning golf and playing fun games while under the watchful eye of Turnberry’s PGA Resident Golf professionals.

The event focussed on their health and well-being as part of the ‘GolPhin Schools Education Programme’ which Girvan Primary signed up to in January.

Head Teacher Gayle: “My staff and pupils have really benefited from the EduGolPhin programme over the last five weeks. The materials are fantastic and really have helped bring a brand new approach on helping our kids on activity levels, as well as numeracy and literacy.

"Our goal is to help kids discover and realise there are so many healthy activities out there. This project is so innovative and fresh. The kids love it. We are very keen to do the programme again next school year and hopefully continue the partnership for many years to come. It’s been a huge success“.
