OVER 1,000 people attended Community Windpower’s family open day at Dalry and Millour Hill Community Wind Farms recently, for a day of fun-filled family time and food.
Activities on the day included an outdoor climbing wall, children’s rides and carousels, face painting, circus skills, tractor and trailer rides around the wind farm, guided tours and the chance to look inside a wind turbine. as well as crafts and local produce.
Community Windpower’s Director for Community Benefits, Diane Wood, said: “This was one of the most enjoyable open days to date and thanks to the local businesses and charities who set up stalls, the activities that were available, and the families that attended.”
