POLICE have launched a desperate appeal for a missing Girvan man.

Thomas Vennard,35, was last seen walking from Darymple Street to Hamilton Street, Girvan on Sunday June 30 at 9pm.

Concerns are growing as it is “out of character” for Thomas to be away for so long without contacting anyone.

Thomas has friends and family across South Ayrshire and frequently travels to Ayr.

He is described as white, around 5ft 8 inches tall with a medium build, short brown hair, clean shaven. He was last seen wearing blue jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Detectives are looking for anyone with information on Thomas’s whereabouts to come forward.

Sergeant Stuart Gibson, of Ayr Response, said: “We are currently making enquires to trace Thomas”

“It is out of character for Thomas to be away from his home for so long without family contact”.

“It might be the case that Thomas is staying locally with friends and that he is unaware that we are looking for him”.

“I would ask Thomas to contact us or anyone who knows where Thomas is or has information on where he might be to get in touch so that we can ensure he is safe and well”.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Ayr Police Office via 101, quoting incident number 3708 of 02 July 2019.”
