THERE was a fantastic effort from a local community group last week to collect products for the South Ayrshire Foodbank.
Troon Ladies Circle planted themselves at the bottom of Morrisons’ carpark until 4pm on Saturday June 22 as they strived to help collect food to hand over to the association.
In what was a successful day for the food-drive in the town, 25 full crates and multiple bags of food and essentials were donated to the foodbank thanks to the people shopping in Troon.
South Ayrshire Foodbank said: “Wow, this is absolutely amazing, we can’t believe it.
“Thank you so much and thanks to the generosity of the people of Troon.”
