POLICE have arrested a man in connection with robbing a 17-year-old in Prestwick.
The male victim was targetted at Outdale Avenue on Friday, June 14.
The 19-year-old man arrested has also been charged with various other offences and will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Local Area Commander for South Ayrshire, said: "We are committed to protecting the public against all forms of criminality and we work hard to bring those who commit crimes to justice.
"This is yet another example of effective team working and will reassure the public that there will be no let-up in identifying and arresting those who cause harm in our local community”
