A MAJOR fire has engulfed Belleisle House in Ayr.
Fire crews rushed to the scene, as the blaze took hold of the historic building on Doonfoot Road.
Smoke can be seen billowing out from the empty building, with severe damage done to the roof as flames have taken hold.
A video from shocked witness Keith McKenzie shows the extent of the blaze.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue told the Ayr Advertiser: " We are currently in attendance in the Ayr area after we were called at 15.22pm to reports of a building on fire.
"There are currently eight appliances in attendance and there are no reports of casualities."
