A MAN was arrested at the weekend for allegedly abusing members of staff in an Asda store in Girvan.
The 44-year-old was apprehended by police after they were contacted about the man acting abusively towards the shop workers at around 7pm on Sunday, June 9.
When officers attended, they traced the man who continued to shout and swear at them, it is claimed. He was then arrested and conveyed to Ayr Police Station where was held in custody.
He appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court yesterday (Monday, June 10) over the matter, accused of acting in a threatening and abusive manner.
