THE contractor for building works to Prestwick and Maybole learning campuses has been appointed which will allow work to start next year.
Construction firm Morgan Sindall, has been appointed via hub South West, to build both the Prestwick Educational Campus and Maybole Community Campus.
Architects BDP have also been appointed to lead the design team.
Just over £64 million in total will be spent on the projects to create first class learning and teaching environments for children, young people and staff as well as a number of facilities that will be accessible to the wider community.
The appointment of the contractor means work on the Prestwick campus should start in the summer of 2020 with completion by the end of 2022.
