A LOCAL butcher have scooped a national prize at the Scottish Craft Butcher Awards.
Pollock Williamson’s in Ayr were recognised at the ceremony for their quality products.
The most recent evaluation for ready –to-cook products and barbecue products in Scotland’s butcher shops were judged at Forth Valley College.
Pollock Williamson earned a gold award for their peppercorn chicken parcel and silver prizes for Braemar truffle and Highland truffle in the ready-to-cook section.
Scott Jarron, president of the awards, said: “Customers are becoming increasingly interest in sourcing the very best meat products available.”
