ONE person was injured after a boat caught fire in Troon last night.
The alarm was raised shortly after 10pm with reports of a boat ablaze and emergency services rushed to the scene.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue service, Coastguard teams from Ayr and Ardrossan and the Scottish Ambulance service were on hand and quickly went to work to bring the fire under control.
When they arrived, one boat was well alight beside the floating pontoons at Troon Sailing Club.
One person was treated by the Coastguard and then passed into the care of an ambulance crew before the blaze was put out.
Emergency services remained at the scene until 2am.
It is not yet known what started the fire or the cost of damage caused by the blaze
