POLICE are appealing for information after tools were stolen from a garden shed break-in on Burnbank Road in Ayr.
The break-in happened between 10am on Saturday, May 11 and 8.15am on Thursday, May 16.
PC Caroline Meredith, of Ayr Locality Policing team is conducting enquiries at present. She said: “A quantity of tools have been stolen and we are currently carrying out local enquiries in relation to this”.
“We are urging residents to be vigilant and check the security of their property including their garden sheds.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen unusual activity in the area around that time or who has information on anyone attempting to sell potentially stolen power tools – these could assist in our enquires”
Anyone with information that could assist the enquiry can pass this to PC Meredith by calling on 101, quoting incident number 0881 of May 16. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity CRIME STOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
