MORE than 1,00 runners from across the West of Scotland lined up in the 34th Troon 10k race last Wednesday.

And kids of all ages also got into the action as the popular kids’ fun run also took place in decent spring weather.

Michael Deason of Shettleston Harriers was the winner with a time of 31minutes 15 seconds, while Fraser Stewart of Cambuslang Harriers was just six seconds behind in second place.

Richard Mair of Kilmarnock Harrier was top Ayrshire runner with 31:29.
