A GROUP of 40 James Frew and GasSure employees, including their very own GasSure Mascot - Flameish, have signed up to take part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk – all in the name of charity.

On April 28, the team will take on the challenge in aid of Whiteleys Retreat.

Whiteleys Retreat provides therapeutic short breaks for children, young people and their families with cancer and life altering illnesses in the UK. The charity offers two high quality, five star assisted catering cottages where families can enjoy short therapeutic breaks complemented with a variety of animal, art, environmental, holistic, music and recreational therapies completely free.

Roddy Frew, Managing Director at James Frew Ltd. said: “Whiteleys Retreat provide an incredible facility for families to get away and enjoy a break in the countryside – with much needed therapies in a variety of different ways. “James Frew Ltd. currently maintain and service the retreats two oil boilers, but would like to go a step further in raising as much funds as possible to support this local, self-funded charity.’’

The company has created a JustGiving page for anyone who isn’t walking but would still like to show support and donate. You can also find photos and updates of the journey leading up to the day including Flameish being fitted for his donated kilt from Clyde Kilts in Saltcoats.
