A MAN was reportedly driving at excessive speeds in Troon at the weekend, causing police to stop him on the road.
The 26-year-old was alleged to be driving his Nissan Qashqai over the speed limit when police were carrying out a speed check of the area at 2am on Saturday, March 2. Checks were being carried out on North Shore Road in Troon.
A police spokesperson said: "The vehicle's speed was checked with a speedometer which confirmed that the vehicle was speeding. The vehicle was stopped and the man was advised that he was being reported to the Procurator Fiscal over the matter."
