A MAN is alleged to have been drunk and driving without insurance after a car crash on Whitletts Road last week.
Police were called to a road traffic collision at around 1.10pm last Wednesday, January 30 and found that one of the people involved was driving under the influence.
A police spokesperson said: βOn attendance the man was required to undertake a roadside breath test and provided a positive result and it was discovered that he was driving without insurance.β
The 28-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and was held in custody.
He will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on the matter.
