ALMOST £5,000 has been raised for the family of a tragic Troon teenager who took his own life on Saturday.
Scott Oliver, who was 19, left his family 'shattered' and his sister Sophie set up a fundraising page to help them cope with his death.
Sophie said: "My family are shattered and falling apart at the thought of having to prepare a funeral for our beloved Scott that took his own life on the 2nd of February 2019!
"As this is such an unexpected loss we would be so grateful for any donations towards his funeral."
The £3,000 target was smashed within a day and over £4,600 has been raised so far.
Sophie said that any extra money raised would be donated to charity and she added: "Any money raised will go towards his funeral and anything thereafter will be donated to a mental health charity of my families choice.
"We are absolutely heartbroken to be setting up a page for someone so young to help pay for his funeral.
"We will love and miss you so much."
Scott's mum Julie said: "Truly thankful to all of your kindness, thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart I so grateful. Sending my love to all of you."
