TROON Primary School has received a national award for its top hygiene levels from its catering standards.
The Food Standards Scotland’s Eat Safe Awards recognises exceptional levels of performance within schools and the school is the 24th in South Ayrshire to scoop the award.
Councillor Ian Cochrane, South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Environment said the award was a great way to round off the year, "Healthy, nutritious meals help children to focus on their studies and get the most out of their education.
"I'd like to congratulate all the staff at Troon primary for their hard work and dedication, with families and staff safe in the knowledge that their children are being well served each and every day."
