A DUNDONALD drug dealer has been handed 250 hours of unpaid work.
Andrew Parish of Parkthorn View pleaded guilty of supplying cannabis in January last year after police stopped him in his car.
Depute Fiscal Ed Sheeran told Ayr Sheriff Court last week that police only stopped him as they believed him to be a disqualified driver.
But after smelling cannabis, he was found holding the substance along with large amounts of cash.
Parish has since spent time in prison in a reported “brief spell”
but Sheriff John Montgomery ordered him to 250 hours of unpaid work to be completed in six months as part of a Community Payback Order.
Sheriff Montgomery told Parish: “I’m going to put you to the test and see if your very short custodial sentence has changed your ways.”
