GIRVAN Academy pupils got on their hiking boots as they climbed a Carrick hill for charity last week.
S3 students headed out on their Santa Stroll in aid of Cash For Kids - a cause that helps disadvantaged children across the country. They hiked Byne Hill on the west coast on Monday, December 17.
Even though the rain stayed off, the pupils still embarked on some challenging conditions in the strong winds as they neared the top.
13 third years took part and even had time to spell out 'Cash For Kids' at the summit from hand-made letters. A great effort from everyone involved.
