POLICE have launched an appeal to find a man who they think may have travelled to the Prestwick Area.

20-year-old Ethan Brown was last seen leaving his home address in Greenfaulds around 7.25am yesterday morning and was reported missing when he did not return to the family home yesterday evening.

The Cumbernauld man was said to be travelling towards Paisley, but various police enquiries believe that he may have travelled to the Prestwick area.

Ethan is described as white, around 6ft 2, of medium build with short brown hair and is clean shaven. He was said to be wearing a dark coloured hoodie with a Burberry brown check pattern in the hood, dark jeans, bright coloured socks, all black Converse trainers and possibly a dark baseball cap and carrying a rucksack.

Inspector John O’Neill, Coatbridge Police Office, said: “As time passes Ethan’s family are growing increasingly concerned for him, it is completely out of character for him to not be in contact.

“Officers have been talking to his family and friends, as well as working with transport companies to try and trace him to make sure he is safe and well.

“We would ask anyone who has seen Ethan, or knows of his whereabouts to get in touch with us.

“We would also ask Ethan himself to get in touch with either police or his family – we all just want to make sure you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3871 of Monday 12 November 2018.
