TROON Train Station car park will be out of commission for two weeks to allow work to be done.
The car park closed for re-surfacing on Sunday and will re-open on Sunday, October 21.
Speaking at a meeting of Troon Community Council last Tuesday, former Councillor Nan McFarlane said she hoped the decision would not cause congestion close to the golf course.
However Sergeant Dean Barlas of Troon Police said they were ready to deal with the situation.
However others said they were pleased one of the weeks coincided with the October Week holiday, which would help ease the congestion near Troon and St Patrick's Primary Schools.
