A FIRE ‘took hold’ of a chip shop in Barassie.
At around 4pm on Wednesday, August 15, Scottish Fire and Rescue received reports of a building on fire in the town – two fire engines were sent to the scene on Barassiebank Lane.
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 4.13pm on Wednesday, August 15 to reports of a building fire in Troon.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to Barassiebank Lane, where firefighters extinguished a fire which had taken hold within a business premise.
“There were no casualties.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area had been made safe.”
