ONCE again, St Meddan’s Church played host to the Struthers Primary School end of term assembly, writes Stewart McConnell.
Saying goodbye to the Primary 7s the assembly theme focused on transition and change. It was a funny mix of hello and goodbye for Mrs McKellar, the newest addition to the Struthers team.
She read out the children’s highlights for each year and these focused on projects, trips and teachers’ creative skills and even the big maths challenge.
It was wonderful to hear each year singing a special summer-themed song and George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun was a summer anthem as it was sung so well by the Primary 5’s.
Most Improved Footballer was Luc and Footballer of the Year Dylan.
There were two winners of the Tommy Jenkins Award - Ellie and Finlay.
The school said goodbye to fundraiser Corrie Duncan and chair of the parent council Kirsten Gallacher.
