AN AYR based optometrist has been shortlisted for Optometrist of the Year.
Carol Semple, who works for Black & Lizars in the town, will be attending the Scottish Health Awards on November 2 at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
With over 15 years experience, Carol was nominated for the award by Black & Lizars after winning its own Optometrist of the Year title.
Morven Campbell, Black & Lizars Clinical Services Director, said: “Carol is one of those rare individuals who always looks for the positives, rarely complains, and makes those around her strive to attain her high standards of care.
“We wish her the best of luck for the award.”
Run in conjunction with NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government, the awards recognise those that go that extra mile to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland.
