TROON residents are being given the opportunity to show their support for their local community groups.
The latest Troon decision day will be held on Saturday, September 16 at Troon Walker Hall for locals to vote for their favourite group.
The event is part of a new way to encourage people to get actively involved in local decision making known as ‘Participatory Budgeting’.
Up to £35,000 is available at the event and groups can be funded up to £1,000 for use in local projects, and up to £3,000 for projects that benefit the wider community.
Voting is open to anyone who lives, works, volunteers or studies in Troon, Barassie, Muirhead, Dundonald, and Loans, aged from 10 years old. For details call 01292 559 359 or email Seonaid Lewis at Seonaid.Lewis@south-ayrshire.gov.uk.
