CROWDS gathered at Girvan Harbour Gala this weekend to take part in the Gala Raft Race.
Teams had to construct their own raft for the event which took place on Sunday, July 23 from noon until 4pm.
Pre-built rafts were available on the day. The event was free to attend and watch and stalls were set up in aid of the lifeboat and their activities.
There were car boot stalls and a Miami Fair Ride funfair making this the biggest fundraiser of the year for Girvan RNLI Lifeboat.
There was plenty to see and do for all the family with RNLI Rescue Display, stalls, funfair, Emergency Services area, raft race, Andrew Murphy pipes, Glitter n Glue, Owl Magic and a BBQ.
This was be Girvan Mersey Class lifeboat’s last gala who has been afloat since 1993.
