A MAN has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of heroin.
It is claimed that at 3.15pm on Friday, March 7 the 35-year-old was stopped by officers on patrol, on Ayr's Elba Street, who believed he was acting suspiciously in a public area.
The Ayr Advertiser Series understands that the man had 2.4 grams of the class A drug on him.
He has been charged for obstructing officers and was detained under the misuse of drugs act. The man has been released on undertaking and is due to appear in court at a later date.
