TWO women charged with robbing and assaulting scheme star Dayna McLaughlin have been released on bail.
Kirsty Lyell (34) of Ayr and Elain Rodie (53) from Ayr appeared on petition at Ayr Sheriff Court last Friday, February 24.
They made no plea to the charge of robbery and assault to injury. Lyell and Rodie have been committed for further examination and released on bail.
Their next appearance at court is still to be confirmed.
The two women appeared on Friday after an alleged incident in Ayr on Princes Court at 1pm last Wednesday, February 2.
It is claimed that two females aged 34 and 53 assaulted and threatened a 25-year-old woman and held a knife to a 54-year-old male's neck before kicking a neighbour's pet dog.
The Ayr Advertiser Series understands they also stole a two figure sum of money and two mobile phones.
Detective Sergeant Jane Hogg, Ayrshire Division CID, said: "No one should feel threatened or unsafe in the community where they live or work.
