A MAN who uttered threats outside Ayr Police Office has been put behind bars.
Stephen Brown, (32) admitted behaving in an abusive manner by shouting and swearing on February 18 last year.
Brown appeared before Sheriff John Montgomery at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
Speaking on his behalf, defence solicitor, Gregor Forbes, said: "Matters caught up with Mr Brown in relation to a shop lifting charge. He has been sentenced for four months. Is there a possibility of an early release date?"
Sheriff Montgomery said: "I will sentence you for three months, discounted from four months. That should not affect you."
Brown has been sentenced for three months.
