THE charity hoping to buy Malcolm Sargent House have sent out an SOS call to the community in a bid to turn Ayrshire Red this month and raise some cash.
On Friday, August 26 workplaces, schools and groups across Ayrshire as well as further afield have been asked to wear red and donate £1 per person towards this worthy cause.
Liz Smillie, fundraising events coordinator for the #BUYMSH appeal and Santander in Ayr has rallied her team in various branches throughout Ayrshire to support this event.
They’ll be wearing red, putting red outside their banks in Ayr, Kilmarnock, Troon and Irvine and with even more branches following suit.
Liz said: “Our Santander team get behind many local community projects and have been huge supporters of Malcolm Sargent House for many years - getting involved in their charity balls and ladies lunches.
“Our local customers enjoy coming into our branches and taking part in our team fundraising events. We can always count on them. Let’s make this a great success and raise loads to help buy back Malcolm Sargent House.
“We’re only asking for a small donation of £1 per person which is not a huge amount to ask - larger donations are of course accepted too.”
