An AYR has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a recent break-in to a property in Dalmellington.
It is understood the 28-year-old, was caught on Thursday, July 21.
Chief Inspector John Cairns, Area Commander in East Ayrshire said: "Following enquiries a man was arrested for alleged housebreaking and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
"The assistance of local residents has been invaluable and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to speak with officers involved in this enquiry.
“We will continue to focus on those involved in crimes of dishonesty throughout East Ayrshire."
