BALLANTRAE Community Association raised over £1200 at their Spring Craft Fair recently.
The total sum of £1225 from the fair, which was the best attended yet, will go towards the annual firework display on November.
As well as cream teas, home baking and lunch, visitors could browse the 20 craft tables selling lovely home made gifts as well as a stall with home baking in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice which raised over £300.
Organisers would like to thank all who helped (10 year olds to 15 year olds especially), those who donated the home baking and to the people who turned up to support this.
They said: "With all the cuts South Ayrshire Council has made to the rural communities this year it is heartwarming to see that we can still be a vibrant and thriving community who are willing to work hard to protect these traditions to enable each community to hold our special events for the sake of our residents - young and old."
Tickets to the Annual Family Gala Dance with Music by Destination Anywhere also went on sale. Anyone wanting tickets (numbers limited) please call Sharon on 07798710481 or Fiona 01465 831475.
