SUPPORT for an exhibition from artists and art-lovers resulted in £11,000 being raised by a Prestwick-based charity.
Among the items donated to CLIC Sargent, who work for children with cancer in Scotland, were works by Peter Howson who grew up in the town and became one of the country’s renowned artists.
Also on sale at Art With a Heart were superb creations from the hands of fellow Scots, Helen Turner, also from Prestwick, Ayrshire artists Graham McKean and Joan Lawson, Gerard Burns and Pat Kramek.
Despite the event being organised at relatively short notice, it was a complete sell-out and well attended with everyone admiring the work of the artists and brisk business carried out to boost the funds of the charity.
