AN EXCITING new race has been added to the celebrated Ayr Gold Cup meeting in September to mark leading bookmaker Willliam Hill's three-year sponsorship of Scotland's most prestigious flat fixture.

And Ayr Racecourse chairman Alan Macdonald is hopeful that the addition of the William Hill (Ayr) Bronze Cup will help bring record attendances to the Craigie track in September.
