Carrick scrape win in low scoring tussle
Mull 0 Carrick 3
Carrick made the long journey to Mull and started strongly with a light breeze at their backs.
They kept the home team in their own half for long periods and in the few Mull attacks the Carrick defence was very good.
At half time Carrick had scored a moral victory but the scoreboard was blank.
In the second half again Carrick had long spells of dominance without any score but with only two minutes left stand off Hugh Smith kicked a lovely 25 yard drop goal into the breeze to give the visitors a hard earned win.
On Saturday Carrick travel to Scotstoun to play Hyndland with Kick Off 3 pm.
