BRAHEAD CLAN 4
EDINBURGH CAPITALS 3
ADAM Brace scored two and Ryan Potulny netted one on his return to action as Glasgow's Braehead Clan took the points as they beat Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday night.
Clan had the better of the first period as they tested Capitals goalie Tyler Beskorowany with a few chances as Adam Brace and Brendan Brooks went close.
The deadlock was broken when Brace sent the puck forward, with Michal Gutwald applying a close range finish.
Edinburgh were back level in the second period when Denis Trakhanov's shot from the blueline beat everyone, including Clan goalie Ryan Nie for the equaliser.
But the home side were back in front when a powerful Craig Cescon effort from point got a touch from Brace to make it 2-1.
However the celebrations had barely finished when Mike Cazzola restored parity for the Caps as he got one on the board to level again.
The Capitals went ahead early in the third period as Pavel Vorobyev burst forward and finished coolly under Nie.
But Clan levelled with ten minutes to go as Robbie Lepine set up Potulny, who squeezed a shot in at the near post.
The points were clinched in the final minutes as Brace came in from the right and despatched his shot into the net to make it 4-3 and a second straight victory.
