RAMPANT Troon pulled off one of their biggest wins of the season to soar into second spot

Gordon Burns' side totally dominated the game against a strong home side who had conceded only five goals in the previous eight games and cold have won even more convincingly had they taken some of their other chances.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when they took the lead in only four minutes as Jordan Muir slammed the ball home for his third goal in two games.

Adam Forsyth then had two shots saved by the home goalie.

However in 18 minutes the Seasiders doubled their advantage when new loan signing Dale Keenan set up the impressive Muir to slam the ball home.

Then just two minutes after the restart, Adam Forsyth surged into the box before dispatching a shot into the net.

Troon continued to boss the match and Dale "Gunner" Moore and Dale Shirkie both had shots saved by the home goalie.

However two minutes from time the visitors rounded off an emphatic victory in style when a great passing move saw Shirkie combine with Scott Chatham and he set up Forsyth to drill the ball home.

It was Troon's third league win in succession and they are playing with a lot of confidence.

THE final scoreline flattered Darvel as an understrength battled hard against a home side who needed two late goals to seal victory.

Darvel got off to the perfect start with a well he first minute at Recreation Park.

The remainder of the first half was evenly fought, with neither side being able to create any clearcut openings in front of goal.

Annbank drew level in 70 minutes, Darren Baird grabbing the well-deserved equaliser. Rory Tait had a chance to put Bankies ahead a minute later but his shot flew over the bar.

It was all Annbank now but in a breakaway five minutes from time Darvel again took the lead. With Annbank pushing for the equaliser the hosts again broke away a couple of minutes from time to seal the points with a well-taken goal.

NINE-man Mark battled bravely but lost out to the Premier Division outfit.

'Lie got off to the perfect start with a goal in the first minute.

A ball into the box was not properly cleared and Richard McGregor netted from six yards. Two minutes later Craigmark came agonisingly close to levelling when Dylan Thirtle sent in a free-kick which rebounded from the post with the keeper beaten.

The visitors doubled their lead in 23 minutes when Gary Smith netted from the penalty spot following a foul by Marc Dyer.

Craigmark were then reduced to 10 men. Craig Palmer kicked the ball at Bryce Reid to take a free-kick. Reid then hit Palmer with the ball and the two players squared up to each other. Reid was shown a straight red card with the Arthurlie player surprisingly having no action taken against him.

Dyer was booked in this incident and this was to prove costly as he received a second yellow before half-time, leaving the hosts to play out the rest of the match with nine men.

Although dominating possession, Arthurlie found young keeper Craigmark goalie Mark Higgins in superb form as he denied the visiting side with a string of great saves.

Arthurlie eventually scored a third goal in 83 minutes and it came from the penalty spot with Smith again netting.
