Ayr boss will take penalty gripe to highest level

FURIOUS Ayr United manager Brian Reid is to send a DVD of Saturday's clash with Inverness Caley Thistle to SFA Head of Referees Hugh Dallas after the hosts were awarded a highly controversial penalty which they netted to snatch a 3-3 draw.

The United boss could not believe his eyes as refere Scott MacDonald pointed to the spot four minutes into injury-time in the Barr's Irn-Bru First Division clash after Grant Munro went down under pressure from experienced stopper Martyn Campbell and he was backed by home counterpart Terry Butcher.
